Help us build a permanent home for Fencers Club

When I was four I asked my mom if I could take fencing lessons when I was big enough. The week before my 7th birthday I reminded her I was about to be old enough. So I started fencing épée on my 7th birthday. When I was 8 I went to Fencers Club for summer camp and l thought it was so great and I knew it was just perfect. So I joined as a member. Thank you. Mack

Just a small, tax-deductible donation will go a long way to helping me meet my fundraising goal of $500 by this Thursday, December 20th. AND every dollar you donate will be matched with a donation of up to $30,000 from Fencers Club's Chairman of the Board, which helps us get closer to our goal, the final money to cover the purchase of a permanent home--where I plan to spend a lot of time in the future!

In December 2018 a permanent space is being purchased adjacent to the Empire State Building. In the 135-year history of the club, this is the first time Fencers Club will own its permanent home.

Fencers Club is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to the pursuit of excellence through the sport of fencing, and the only Community Olympic Development Program for fencing in the United States.

Fencers Club is a diverse community and home to up-and-coming youth fencers, returning and new adult fencers, elite athletes, Olympians, and dedicated coaches. .

Thursday marks the celebration of the Fencers Club's secure future with a Mixed Team Fencing Event for foil, epee and sabre, and Mack will be competing in epee. The teams will be comprised of youth to senior athletes. The format of the event will be a team relay, and all the participating fencers contribute equally to their team's success. Trophies awarded will be displayed in our new home in 2020.

(Here is a great video of Olympian Daryl Homer, who I got to watch last week at Fencers Club, where he is a member). MACK
