The start of the New Year brings Fencers Club even closer to the move to our permanent space. For the first time in our 135-year history, we will own our home. We have received contributions to secure the future of Fencers Club through our Vision 2020 initiative, but it is now time to involve the younger members of our diverse community.
We are proud to announce a Leap Year Fundraising Competition in February. For the entire month, participants will have the opportunity to raise money for the Building Fund. On Saturday, February 29th, the top fundraisers will be announced and win free armory services in the Pro Shop.
We are asking our up-and-coming youth fencers to rally their friends, family, and networks to support our work. This is a wonderful chance for them to become more involved in our fencing community and feel that they are contributing to its future.
The Leap Year Challenge will only run if at least 20 fencers are registered by February 1.
